NBEF provided funding for David Maiullo of the Rutgers University Physics Department to present “The Wonders of Physics” at the New Brunswick High School auditorium (with two assemblies) on April 11, 2018 that both educated and entertained over 700 students. The attendees were captivated as they watched exploding gases, a fire extinguisher powered car, ping pong balls busting through metal cans, liquid nitrogen freezing flowers that shattered like glass, and many other mesmerizing spectacles.

“Professor Maiullo delivers similar demonstrations at numerous schools, universities, science museums and theaters in major cities. Fortunately, because of this NBEF grant, hundreds of our physics students were able to walk down the hall, take their seats, be actively engaged in these thrilling experiences, and then go back to class enriched with the Wonders of Physics,” stated John Caputo (NBHS Physics Teacher).
