Tahj Burnette

TAHJ BURNETTE, BASW is a New Brunswick High School Class of 2014 alumnus, and a former two-time NBEF scholarship recipient.

Tahj is in the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work Program at Rutgers University – Graduate School of Social Work; and has earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers, and Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Middlesex College.

Tahj is the embodiment of a dedicated advocate for social change and youth empowerment. His passion for youth advocacy derived from previous life-experiences that shaped him into the individual he is today: a leader, advocator, and educator. These characteristics translate impeccably into his professional and personal life as he served as a youth mentor, immigration advocate, and social work intern for multiple agencies.
