On January 28, 2021, with over 300 in attendance, NBEF hosted an exciting virtual platform that provided New Brunswick High School and New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School juniors, seniors and alumni (enrolled in colleges, universities, and vocational institutes; and young professionals) with a motivational speaker, workshops, panel discussions, and fireside chats that were designed to inspire and equip them in their educational, career and life pursuits. It was a phenomenal virtual experience that truly made an impact in the lives of New Brunswick youth and young adults.
This dynamic project was a part of NBEF’s College & Young Professional Network component and the organization’s response to COVID-19. It was NBEF’s aim to provide an innovative alternative to solely exposing our youth to “Zoom.” Thus, with sponsorships from PNC Bank, Johnson & Johnson, the New Jersey Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development, and New Brunswick Tomorrow, NBEF partnered with vFairs that powered a platform that consisted of avatars, exhibit booths, an auditorium and several other cutting-edge features.
