With a huge smile, Jerome Mangroo recently set the tone and raised the bar with a $500.00 donation to NBEF. Meaning, Jerome is a former (2-time) NBEF Scholarship recipient and member of the organization’s College & Young Professional Network who has always been very passionate about “paying it forward!!!”

We are proud of Jerome and his outstanding achievements since graduating from New Brunswick High School in 2009. Without a doubt, he distinguished himself as a Rutgers University (summa cum laude) grad in 2013, earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.8.

He then pursued his dream to become a leader in the restaurant industry while hitting the ground running for 6 years as an apprentice and eventually rose through the ranks to become a manager. Along the way, he credits his growth and development to job shadowing and gaining a keen insight of the business from the owners of Skylark Diner and Pines Manor.

Jerome is now the managing partner of Mollaga Indian Grill, a new establishment located at the Shoppes in North Brunswick that combines rich Indian tradition and authentic family recipes. He shared that he plans to take Mollaga to the forefront and make it the next best fast-casual restaurant people come to know; and acknowledges NBEF for helping him build a firm foundation for college and career success.

By the way, Jerome (along with his business partners) is also funding the “Mollaga Indian Grill True Grit & Grace Scholarship” in the amount of $1,000.00 that will be presented to a student from New Brunswick High School at NBEF’s 12th Annual Awards Gala on June 7, 2018.

Thanks and congratulations Jerome!!!
