NBEF Highlights

  • Since 2008, sponsored 117 projects and activities implemented by New Brunswick Public School teachers K-12 through our Annual Innovative Teacher Grants Program, impacting thousands of students with support from PNC Bank, Wells Fargo, and Magyar Bank.
  • Since 2007, awarded over $300,000.00 in college scholarships to New Brunswick High School and New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School graduates with the support of NBHS alumni and community friends.
  • Donated $23,500.00 toward the New Brunswick Public School District’s instrumental music education program with the support of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Karma Foundation, MagyarBank Charitable Foundation and New Brunswick High School Alumni.
  • Partnered with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company to sponsor a Genetics Enrichment (Grade 7), Environmental Sciences (Grade 10), and Alternative Energy (Grade 5) projects in the New Brunswick Public Schools, involving a total of 1250 students, from 2008 through 2011.
  • Partnered with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company to sponsor the New Brunswick Middle School Robotics Program (Grades 6 – 8), from 2012 through 2014.
  • Inducted 71 outstanding New Brunswick High School graduates into the Hall of Distinguished Alumni at NBEF Annual Awards Galas held in 2007 through 2015.
  • Established a Speaker’s Bureau that involves New Brunswick High School alumni volunteers who speak at school district programs, including career days, assemblies, and graduations.
  • Developed and administers a College Network component that provides New Brunswick High School and New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School alumni who are enrolled in colleges and universities with scholarships, career development workshops, job shadowing opportunities and special events.
