“Making his mark at North Carolina A&T State University”

Emmanuel Johnson (2009 and 2010 recipient of The Richard H. Brown Scholarship) is a sophomore at North Carolina A& T State University double majoring in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He holds a 3.83 grade point average and is actively involved on campus. Emmanuel serves as the Program Chair of the University’s National Society of Black Engineers Chapter, and Vice President of the Robotics Club. Emmanuel is also a Wabash Provost Scholar (a group of North Carolina A&T students who were selected to conduct research for the University’s Provost Office). He recently accepted an offer from GE Energy for a summer internship as part of its Early Identification Program (a program which seeks high performing Engineering students and prepares them to become leaders in GE upon graduation). Although Engineering is a rigorous discipline, Emmanuel has proven that with passion, determination and desire to succeed, you can conquer all the challenges it entails.
