Greetings Zebra Alumni and Friends:

For years there has been a need for a New Brunswick High School Alumni Network that: (1) recognizes outstanding accomplishments of NBHS graduates; (2) provides assistance with planning and implementing class reunions; and (3) offers programming for alumni to reconnect and “give back” to our alma mater.

Did You Know That … ?

• NBEF established the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, honoring New Brunswick High School alumni who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor. So far, NBEF has honored 32 alumni during its annual awards gala held in June. Some of those honored include: Aldrage Cooper, Class of 1955; Richard H. Brown, Class of 1965; Franke Previte, Class of 1964; Gloria Zastko, Class of 1949; E. Ronald Wright, Class of 1965; Michael Watson, Class of 1975; and Paul Ward, Class of 1982. • NBEF administers college scholarships for NBHS alumni to benefit current graduates from our alma mater. Since 2007, $91,100.00 in college scholarships has been awarded due in large part to the outstanding support of NBHS alumni.

• NBEF assists alumni with coordinating class reunions as well as facilitating tours of the “new” New Brunswick High School located at 1000 Somerset Street in New Brunswick.

• NBEF offers alumni a fantastic opportunity to “give back” to current New Brunswick Public School students through the NBHS Alumni Speakers Bureau. This special initiative enables NBHS alumni to share their academic, professional and life experiences with students. Alumni volunteers may simply visit classrooms or serve as guest speakers at career days, school assemblies, senior convocations, and graduation ceremonies.
