UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL JERSEY PROVIDES
NBEF WITH GIFT FOR EMERGENCY FUND

NBEF partnered with the United Way of Central Jersey to help New Brunswick High School meet its goal of implementing a uniform dress code for its student population. While 95% of the school’s families adhered to the new policy, there was a small gap (roughly 5%) who was unable to comply due to financial hardship. The United Way of Central Jersey helped to fill the gap by providing a $5,000 grant to NBEF to serve as an emergency uniform fund.

We thank the United Way of Central Jersey for their commitment and dedication to create opportunities for a better life for people living and working in Central Jersey. Also kudos to the New Brunswick Board of Education, Superintendent Richard Kaplan, administration and staff for their leadership and efforts in establishing school environments that fosters excellence.
