Members of the New Brunswick High School Class of 1958 are pleased to provide two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships for New Brunswick High School graduating seniors (one male and one female) who have been accepted to a certified post high school program in the fall of 2016. These scholarships are awarded to deserving students who show promise of achievement and success.


Please submit the following:


1. Completed Application Form with written responses to the questions below


2. NBHS transcript – latest available, including GPA and class rank


3. Copy of Letter of Acceptance to the program you plan to attend, its term and cost


4. Two Letters of Reference – one from a teacher and one from someone  in a non-classroom activity in school or in the community


Please respond to each of the following questions:


Why did you select the program you identified above, how do you expect it to help you meet your future goals and how do you plan to finance its cost?


Describe the high school teacher and course that have had the biggest impact on you. How have they influenced you?


What is your proudest accomplishment and explain why it is so important to you.


What school activities, community service activities and work experience have you been involved in and describe your participation.


The application for the NBHS Class of 1958 must be completed and submitted by Monday, May 2, 2016.


The recipients of the NBHS Class of 1958 Scholarship will be recognized at the New Brunswick Education Foundation’s (NBEF) Tenth Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 17, 2016 at The Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27 in Edison, NJ. The actual scholarship awards, with a written designation for use, will be forwarded on behalf of the recipients directly to the college or university that he/she will attend.
