In memory of one of the finest security officers to ever serve the students, staff and visitors of the New Brunswick School District, the Mark A. Gosha Memorial Scholarship offers a $1,000.00 award to a deserving New Brunswick High School or New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School graduating senior who will be attending an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2016. Sponsored by the officers of the New Brunswick Public Schools Security Department, this scholarship will be awarded to a student that best personifies the qualities that Officer Gosha consistently displayed in the discharge of his duties: Respect for others, commitment to cause and a strong desire to improve on a daily basis. Most importantly, the student must have a history of smiling every day, showing a genuine care for all and improving the lives of others by just being themself.

The application for the Mark A. Gosha Memorial Scholarship must be completed and submitted by Monday, May 2, 2016.

The recipient of the scholarship will be recognized at the New Brunswick Education Foundation’s (NBEF) Tenth Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 17, 2016 at The Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27 in Edison, NJ. The recipient will also be acknowledged via the NBEF newsletter and website. The actual scholarship award, with a written designation for use, will be forwarded on behalf of the recipient directly to the college or university that he/she will attend.
